So most of you know that we had a house guest for the past couple months. She is no longer living here. She moved out this past weekend. We have the kids rooms back in order. Dada is back in her room, and brother has his own room back. I spent most of Sat. cleaning out their closets and dresser drawers. (That was a job!!) It feels so good to have them back in their own places. Both of their rooms look so nice and clean. We even started an allowance for them. They get a quarter every day they keep their room clean.
Ever since Ashley moved out, I have noticed an emptyness in our house. I can't exactly put my finger on what it is that is missing. She wasn't part of our family, and she wasn't really here that much to make a huge difference. But it does feel a little emptier. I was talking to DH about it and I told him that it was about time we thought about another baby.
There are so many times that I really think that I would love to have another baby. I would love to be pregnant, I would love to nurse a baby again, I would love to sit and rock MY baby. There are just so many things that I would love about having a baby. I would love to see how my kids responded to me being pregnant and having a baby. I am sure that they would both adore it!!
But in thinking about it, I don't see how we can fathom it. I HAVE to work. I have to be at school to take care of Dada. I have to work at school to pay the kids tuition. I just don't see how having a baby would fit into that. I would really want to stay home with the baby like I did with the other kids.
And the other thing about having a baby is that as much as we fight it, babies grow up. Babies turn into toddlers, toddlers turn into kids, kids turn into teenagers.
Teenagers. Wow!! I have always told my friends that teenagers don't scare me. I told them that I couldn't wait till my kids got to be that old. But I think that I am changing my mind on that point of view. I have been able to see a lot of stuff this past year. Working with the volleyball and cheerleading was opened my eyes to a lot of things that happen. And quite frankly, I am more scared then ever before. I think that if I can keep the 2 kids that I have on the right track then I am doing good. But to be responsible for more. I just don't know.
Sometimes, I think that God gave me my kids when I was young and niave. When I didn't know what I was getting into, cuz if I knew what I was getting into I might not of had any. There is so much responsability in them. Having a baby is more then being pregnant, and cribs, and strollers, and diapers, and cute little clothes. It is so much more. Especially if you want them to turn out half way decent. I think that this is the reason that scares me so much from the idea of having a baby.
I don't know, maybe I'm not making any sense to anybody but myself. But I just wanted to write what was in my heart, even if no one understands.

Spring
I love the winter time. I love the snow, I love the cold, I love being couped up in the house for long periods of time. I love it getting darker earlier. I love lighting candles, and having my house be so cozy and warm. I LOVE winter!!
This year we have had an incredible winter. We have had so much snow. I have truly enjoyed this winter! BUT......with all that being said, I realized that spring is coming. I can feel spring right around the corner. Even though the temperature is still in the single digits. I have noticed that it is staying lighter just a little bit longer. I am getting excited about spring. I can almost feel the warm sun on my skin. I can see the flowers blooming and the birds chirping. I can feel the breeze blowing through the house. I think I can say for sure that I have spring fever. Now, I just pray for patience to get through the rest of winter.

God's protection
So last Friday night, my Hubby and I went over to our dear friends house for a great night of fondue and fun. We had my sister and her friend come over to watch our kids and our friends kids. (there were 9 kids here total !) We got home, the house was still standing, the kids were alive, and the toys were put away. I was happy.
Well Sat night, it was incredibly cold, I think the temp itself was in the negatives. The wind chill was -30 or something like that. We went to bed, thankful for our warm house.
About 1 o'clock, I woke from a dead sleep, not knowing what I heard, but knew I heard something and was sure that someone was breaking in our house, and stealing my kids. (Tancy, how do you like that run on sentance??) I woke up hubby, and told him to go check on the kids, he did, and I could hear him mumbling sweet nothings about his darling wife all the way to the kids room. He of course came back with I was hearing nothing and an "order" to go back to sleep. I of course laid there wondering what it was I had heard. And then I heard it again, and so did he! I wasn't crazy! It was a pop, something I had never heard before, we had no idea what it was! But I didn't hear it again, and so I slowly drifted off to sleep.
Until about an hour later, I hear this little pop again. But hubby doesn't seem worried, so I go back to sleep.
About 5, I woke up to hubby getting up and walking around the house. We continue to hear this pop but we have no idea what is was. Hubby checked all the doors, the windows, the basement. Nothing, we go back to bed, wondering what it was.
We went to church wondering what the noise could of been. Hubby, decided that he thought maybe it was the bricks on our house cracking our something. We chalked it up to that.
Well, last night, hubby went to turn on the oven to make a pizza, and he noticed that the oven was on. It was set to 400. And we realized that the oven had been on since Friday night. And that the popping noise had to have been the oven Sat night.
So the point of this long drawnout story, is that I am so thankful for God's protection. We could have had a fire that night. I am humbled at his protection.

I am sorry for the disappereance of me lately!! Honestly I have not been in the mood to blog. When I do actually have a moment to myself, the last thing I want to do is blog. Usually I just want to sit and not do anything, not think, not talk, just zone out.
Christmas was good. New years was good. ( I know that tells you a whole lot!! ) Hunny got in an accident and totalled the car the day after Christmas. So that has been kinda stressful. We are still going with just 1 car, so I have to find a way to and from school. So far things have worked out. Pray that we can eventually get our car payed off and get a new vehicle.
That's about it for now, I will try and do better with my blogging, hope everyone is doing well.

A blessing
I took this from my other blog that I stopped writing on.
My heart was so uplifted tonight. Here is the story........We had ladies meeting today and I went and enjoyed my time. Before I left, I had told my husband that I was in the mood to just have fun tonight. I wanted to go out, and just have a good time. So then I went to ladies meeting, and on the way home, hubby called and said that my little sister had called and ASKED if she could babysit, and we didn't have to pay her, she just wanted out of the house. So we had a babysitter and we had a gift card to APPLEBEES ~ thank you Beth!! And so off to dinner we went. We have 2 Applebees in out town and we were going to go to the closest one, and then go grocery shopping right next door. Well, we drove to the nearest one, and they were PACKED!! I mean people standing outside. So we decided to go to the one farther away to see if they were slower. And the whole time over, I was thinking this is ridiculous, we should just stay there at the closer one, and just wait, cuz everywhere is going to be busy at 6:00 on Sat. night. Well, we kept driving and we got there, and it was only a 15 min wait, and as we waited my sister called, and I talked to her, and all of a sudden, the crowd sort of parted and there waiting for a table was a couple who has just started attending our church, so we went over and talked to them, and we ended up eating w/ them. We had such a great time! I know of this girl from when we were in high school, and we would play opposite each other in volleyball, but not much else. But it was so nice to just sit and talk to a new couple in our church. They seem really excited about coming, and they plan on coming tomorrow morning. They have been there the past 2 Sundays. I hope that we made them feel more at ease and not so nervous about coming to a new church. After we left, I was just amazed at how the Lord directed our whole evening. By literally throwing a babysitter at us, and kicking us out of our house, to leading us to the restaraunt we were to be at. And to have such a blessing on top of it all. God is good! By the way.....Beth, God used you in this evening. B/c of your generosity, we were able to go. I truly hope that the Lord blesses you for it. I know it has filled my heart!
