Emma girl

My baby is 1 today.

I can't believe I wrote that.

O.N.E.

What a joy this child has been to our family. Pure joy.

I had a whole other post in my head that I wanted to do today.. But I can't find my camera cord to connect my camera to my computer. So while I wait for it to turn up, this will have to suffice....

Happy birthday Emma Elisabeth. You are so very dear and precious to me.

You are a sign of Gods faithfulness to me. A sign of Gods love.

I will be forever grateful.

Yes. Lord, I trust you.

Cookies

We and by we I mean I made cookies today. My new favorite butterscotch chic chip.

Yummy!!

I might have made a double batch.

Maybe.

Someone might have enjoyed the cookie dough almost as much as me.

Laundry

Our dryer broke.

Bummer.

I kinda thought it might be coming. A couple weeks ago it started making a funny noise. Like something heavy was in it being thrown around every time it rotated. It also took FOREVER to dry.

Well, it finally gave up the ghost.

So a broken dryer and a house with 5 people meant a ton of laundry.

So Mads and I took a trip to the laundry mat.

An hour and a half and I had 10 loads of laundry washed, dried and folded. We walked out of the laundry mat with everyones clothes in their own little basket to be put away as soon as we got home.

I need a set up like this in my house!!!

Perspective

I actually didn't mind going to the laundry mat. It took me WAY less time to do the laundry and I got to spend a little bit of one and one time with Maddie.

I am sure with all the black Friday deals on we will be able to find a decent dryer for a reasonable price.

Pictures from my phone.

Enjoy.

Happy Saturday

Today consists of..... Unseasonably warm weather which allows for laundry blowing in the breeze.

It also consists of deep cleaning the house in preparation for Christmas decorating.

I just got done cleaning the oven. I really hate that job.

Jeremy has had to work today. But is on his way home with a pizza for lunch.

The kids are really not thrilled today. They think they are way overworked!! I on the other hand am not sympathetic at all.

I am off the scrub the floors.

I wonder if I could paint the living room quickly? Hmm....

On a side note.....it does feel a little weird to be listening to Christmas music with the windows and doors open.

My little lamb

I just realized that I forgot to post pictures of Halloween....

Nathan took off with the neighbor boys before I could get a picture. :(

And Maddie....well....she wanted to dress up, but couldn't find anything reasonable at the store.

and, well, I wasn't willing to fork over an arm and a leg for 2 hours.

So she didn't go.

She wanted to be Catniss but...well....she didn't want my help getting stuff together.

I thought it would have been cute if she was Bo Peep. ;)

Emma's costume I got for 2$ on a resale website I am on. Yah for bargains!!!!

Could she really be any cuter???

Flat Stanley

Last night was Maddie's play.

I am always amazed at all the work these kids put into these plays. They work for months on acting and dancing and of course rehearsing their lines. I am so very proud of all of them.

The play was called Flat Stanley. I am familiar with Flat Stanley but didn't quite know how they would put it together into a play. But it was very cute.

Maddie played Mona Lisa.

I was surprised to see her in a black wig. I didn't know she was going to have to wear a wig!

The whole cast did a good job. There was a new director and I think the kids had to adjust to his style a little bit.

I adore this picture of the girls.

We wisely left Emma at home. Grandpa Swanson wasn't feeling well, so Emma stayed home with them.

Such proud parents.

We want to thank Heidi and Anna for coming to support Maddie last night. We so appreciate it.
