A person should dream shouldn't they? Well Honey and I have a dream. We would LoVe to move to the country. Everything is better in the country isn't it?

We just want room for our kids and dogs to run. We want to be able to stretch our legs and not know that there are neighbors all around watching your every move.

Can you covet a life like that? If you can, then I definitely am.

The other day we drove by this house. Come to find out it's empty and has been for over a year. It sits on 8 acres of land. 8 acres. WOW. There is a creek running through the land. There is room. And plenty of it.

We snuck a peek through the house. Which wasn't hard since the doors were standing wide open.

What fun we had dreaming our way through the house.

It's definitely old. Which is what I would LoVe!! It was probably built in the late 1800's. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.

I did not want to leave.

I wanted to pack my things up and move them in.

The house obviously needs a ton of work. The kitchen is in shambles. But I'm sure we can work with that.

It's got 3 bedrooms. Just what we need.

Aren't these windows to die for? Floor to ceiling windows in the living room. And guess what?? The living room has a fireplace! I have always wanted a fire place.

Isn't this lane lovely??

A view from the road.

Well....today, I can dream right? Dream of the land, and the house that was put there just for me.

I called the phone # listed on the sign. They want WAY to much money for it. Maybe that's why it's still on the market for all this time.

But if I had the money, I would buy it up in a heart beat. I would buy it and I would love it back to it's glory.

I can DrEaM can't I?
We have been spending some of our afternoons this week at our Friends house at the pool. Dada has been extremely excited about it. These 2 girls have been going to school together since kindergarten. In such a small class, how can you not be friends?? :)
Dada spent the night there last night. She was so excited she could hardly contain herself.
Seriously.

I am thankful for their friendship, b/c through the years I have made a friend with her Mom. It's just to bad she won't let me take of a picture of her!! But.....

I did find a picture of her, that she didn't know I snapped. It was when the girls were in 1st grade and we were on a field trip to an apple orchard. (Sorry that it is so blurry!)

Can you tell how much the kids love her??

I so look forward to many more years spent together watching our kids grow and TRYING to keep them normal!!! ;)
A couple of days ago the neighbor boys came over and kept the kids company. Brother and the boys play really well together....most of the time. ;) Dada.....well.....she pretty much just bosses them around. Which they of course don't take from a GiRl!!

But this day....they played pretty well....especially once the sprinkler came out. Who knew that you could have so much fun with an umbrella and a sprinkler?

AAHH SuMmEr......how is your's going?

A family day

Yesterday, was a lovely family day.

We putzed around the house in the morning and then went swimming in the afternoon.

It was just us at the pool which was nice.

I think the kids LoVe it when Daddy is at the pool to play with.

Sissy is trying to master the backwards backflip. She is really getting good at it. Brother tried to do it and then did a back flop which hurt his back and then he was done with it. :)

Since Daddy didn't have to work last night we decided to take advantage of the beautiful evening and we went to a beautiful little park that we found a couple weeks ago. It is actually an old mill.

It is a beautiful place to go to.

There is a little creek-runoff thing that goes from the pond area down to the actual creek. The kids had fun wading and skipping rocks.

Dada was nervous at first. She thought she might fall.

But Daddy came and helped her cross and she was just fine after that.

She tried to cross in her flip flops. It didn't quite work out!! :)

We saw a little girl who caught a HUGE toad. I'm surprised that Brother didn't ask her if he could have it. I had NEVER saw a toad that big. Her cousin also caught a turtle.

There were all kinds of crawfish in the creek. They would hide in between all the rocks when they saw us coming.

Hunny tried to catch 1 to show the kids.

But didn't quite get it.

Some of them were HUGE!

I had never seen a crawfish before. I thought they lived more in the south.

I love this picture of Dada.

I told also LoVe this picture!

So that was our day. I really enjoyed our time at the park. Although there were other people there, it was very peaceful and relaxing.

Girls Weekend

This past weekend the girls in my family were able to get away for a little girls weekend. It was nice to be able to relax and spend some time with one another.

Janelle's house was our "hotel."

Mom, Joy and I went up Thursday night.

We spent the day on Friday shopping. I found some books that I want to get for the kids!! ;)

I know I always like to know the WHY in life.

We found a really cute purse and jewelry shop. I think we all walked away with something we liked.

We also found a resale shop. Although I think the prices in this resale shop were ridiculous!!! I would never spend $50 for a pair of jeans that someone else already owned!! CRAZY!!!

Thankfully the girls decided to keep the hats at the store!! ;)

After we got bored with shopping we took a walk by the Lake. It was getting quite warm out by then.

So we cooled ourselves off in a little fountain! I never thought I would see my Mom "dancing" in a fountain!!

We found a little Public Market that was really neat.

When we got back to Janelle's we enjoyed the pool while we waited for Joanna and Jessica to get there.

We had fun jumping in the pool. I don't know if I have seen my Mom laugh that hard in a long time.

Saturday morning. Before we got ready...... and yes.....they will kill me for this picture.

I thought this was a funny picture. Joanna mentioned how she downsized from her big compact to her little one for the weekend. Mom said that she did to and proceeded to show us her "downsize"!!

All ready to go!!

We drove into Milwaukee for a day of sightseeing.

We went to the Pabst Mansion which was very interesting to go through. I would recommend it. Although I don't think it's a place for kids.

We got yelled at right after this picture was taken. I guess you can't take pictures. No one told us that!!

After the Mansion we went for a late lunch. We went to a local diner around the block from the mansion. I think we enjoyed the Juke Box the best. I just wished it would play the song you actually picked!!

We then decided it would be best to go shopping. So we walked the 3rd ward and just enjoyed each other's company.

On the way home we called Jonathan and Melanie. It was good to talk to them for a while. I can't wait for them to come visit later this year.

We did a lot of laughing this weekend which is always good for the soul. It was time well spent with my Mom and Sisters, even though I missed my little family at home.

Thanks Janelle for opening your home to all of us crazy sisters. At least you know we come by our craziness honestly!! ;)

Brother did call me and leave me a wonderful little voicemail telling me that he missed me and was hoping that I was having a safe trip. It melted my heart to hear from him.
