A scary week....

Last week, my friend Lorrie had her sweet baby boy. After spending a couple days in the nicu fighting an infection Peter was finally able to come home.

Since they got home, Lorrie was having a hard time breathing and was having fluid building up all over her body. She contacted her dr. And they told her to go to the E.R. they thought she had preeclampsia. (sp?)

Come to find out, she had fluid slowly making its way up to her heart and was building up into her lungs. The Dr told her she had a type of congestive heart failure. They put her on a diuretic and gave her some magnesium to prevent seizures. In a matter of 24 hours, she lost 13 pounds in fluid.

Thankfully the Lord was watching out for Lorrie.

Today, she was released from the hospital and is doing just fine. She is on blood pressure medicine for a while.

Please keep the family in your prayers.

Here's proud Papa and little Peter.

What a wonderful Christmas present for the Wolf family to have a healthy MOM AND BABY home for this Christmas.

But then God...

You wanna see how BIG my God is??? You wanna see how my God can move mountains? You wanna see how my God answers prayers?

We have been praying for this request for so long now. God provided us with a truck a couple years ago. And that truck has served us well. The Lord brought along just the right person to help get the truck running well. How thankful I am for Andrew. 1 thing I can say about Andrew is that he knows his vehicles. The Lord has blessed him with that knowledge. He is so young and knows SO much. (sorry....rabbit trail...)

Anyway, we have been praying. Our kids of course are growing quickly and every time they climbed in and out of that truck I felt so bad for them. It was beginning to be very difficult.

But God knew that.

My God not only answers the little requests in life, He answers the BIG things.

HE. GAVE. US. A. VAN.

But then God.....

Hears the prayer of his children.

But then God.....

Answers the prayers of his children.

The God that I serve today...hears.... and sees..... and does......and IS.

The tears that I have today are of relief and peace ( cuz they do go hand in hand) they are of gratitude and A.W.E. They are of wonder at what he has done and how he has done it. My God not only blessed us, but blessed another family in the process.

When God answers such big things in life, why should I worry about the little details? He will most surely take care of those as well.

I have been waiting for a very long time for this prayer to be answered. I have been waiting a very long time for this..but then God moment. I knew that there was no other way for us to get another vehicle other then God providing it.

Do not give up on that prayer request that you have. That mountain that only God can move. God can and will move them.

I want to thank the family that gave this to us. I don't know if they want it to be known. But I want to tell them a very warm and heartfelt...THANK YOU.

Last night I had an awful dream. I will spare you the details, but my dream brought up some very real fears that I have struggled with in my life. I woke up to my alarm remembering vividly my dreams. I got up and started to read my Bible. I had such a hard time concentrating on the verses I was reading. My mind just kept going back to my dream. I stopped reading and simply prayed that the Lord would clear my mind and put my mind to rest. I prayed that He would show me something that would last with me the day.

You know, sometimes you pray a little prayer and not really expect that it be answered, especially so quickly.

I continued to read and was soon struck smack in the forehead by this verse......

Proverbs 1:33~ But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell in safety and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

The Lord spoke directly to my heart and directly to my fears and told me that it would be alright. That He had it all under control.

I cannot tell you what that simple little verse, and that simple little answer to my simple little prayer did for me today.

It was enough to know that my God lives. That my God cares. That my God meets even the smallest of needs.

What an emotional week we have had here. I have had my ups and downs and my moments of strength and moments of doubt. I am thankful for good friends who have listening ears and prayerful hearts.

I am happy to report that I can say.......And then God. Our immediate need as been met, and I know that he will take care of the other pressing things that we have.

He has even opened a door for me that I had thought closed. And then God.

It is really neat to see how God meets those needs we have when we think there won't be a way out.

Oh what an awesome God we serve.

I think I am a little overwhelmed at his goodness to me and my family. Don't ever doubt that he will meet your needs.

An Answered Prayer.....

For the past year, I have had a prayer on my heart. It's not something that I mentioned to people, its just something that was on my heart.
Since last October I have been wearing the same pair of 2 week disposable contacts. I have prayed that God would keep my eyes safe from infection, and my contacts from tearing.

I have had the same pair of glasses for as long as I could remember. I think I got my last pair before Dada was born, and she will be 8 in about a week. About 6 months ago, Hunny stepped on them. They were crooked and the lens wouldn't stay in. If I looked down or sneezed the lens would fall out. I kept them because there were times that I just needed my contacts out. And since I have bad eyes, I still needed my back up broken glasses.

I am a contact wearer. I LOVE my contacts. But with needing BOTH glasses and contacts I knew that I would have to choose between the 2. So the obvious smartest choice would be to get glasses. So the prayer of my heart was that SOMEHOW God would provide me with new glasses. With Hunny not working, and with no insurance, I knew that there just wasn't the money to just make an appointment and order new glasses.

Well God went over and above. Through the generosity of someone dear to my heart, they took me to get an eye exam. While I was so happy and thankful to just be getting glasses, they also paid for a 6 month supply of contacts.

Phil 4:19 ~ But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Eph 3 :20 ~ Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

These verses have become so dear to my heart.

At the eye exam I also got a clean bill of health for my eyes. I was so relieved to hear that. I don't know why I had to wait so long to get some new glasses. But it's ok. God not only provided for my need but also my WANT and he kept my eyes safe and healthy while waiting. I serve an amazing GOD!!

I LOVE YOU J!!!
