3 months
I really can't believe that 3 months can go by quite so fast but tis true...Emma is 3 months old now.
Emma is melting our hearts these days. She is able to coo and smile. She definetly recognizes her mommy and listens for me and watches me as I walk around the room. She is a strong little girl and likes to hold her head up and check everything out.
She is very close to laughing. Yesterday Nathan had her almost giggling. It was very cute.
She is a great sleeper at night. She usually sleeps about 8 or 9 hours straight. I am so thankful for that as I dont have much opportunity to nap during the day.
She still isn't interested in rolling over or reaching for anything. But thats ok. I dont want to rush her. I am just enjoying her being a baby.
I was so worried I would be plagued with post partum depression like I was after my other kids were born. I really bathed this request before the Lord and He heard my prayer. I am so very grateful. I have had just a couple hard days which is to be expected but I feel really good.
What a true gift from God little Emma is to me.

Spoons
We celebrated Grandma Gails birthday last night. After dinner Jeff, Tracy, J and I introduced the kids to the best game ever....spoons. I do think this is one of my favorite games to play. Its competitive, its cutthroat, its just plain fun. You never quite know who's going to go flying over the table. :)
The kids woke up this morning ready to play again....so as we speak...Jeremy has SP, and Maddie and Nathan just fought over a spoon.
Who's up for a game of spoons???

Its a comin!!
You know spring is on its way when the crocus blooms!!
Regardless of the 4 inches of snow we are supposed to get today....spring IS coming. :)
Although I will have to say this has been the mildest winter I can remember. I think I have worn my jacket twice this winter.
Happy Friday!!

That the works of God might be displayed
James 5: 15 and the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
Doesn't this verse make sickness so simple. That if your sick all you have to do is pray, and your sickness will be healed.
I know that this verse is true. That God will heal. He said it so I know it to be true.
I also know that He chooses not to.
And that can be the hard part.
How I wish that I could just pray and maddie would be healed from her diabetes. I have prayed and begged God to heal her.
But she still is diabetic.
I dont doubt God.
I KNOW God can heal her. I know he just needs to utter the words.
But she is still diabetic.
John 9: 1 ~ 3 as he went along, he saw a blind man from birth. His disciples asked him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind? Neither this man nor his parents sinned, said Jesus. But this happened that the works of God might be displayed in him.
Can I just say wow!!
I dont know what God has in store for little maddie. I dont know why he chose Maddie to be diabetic.
But I know..that the Lord allowed this in her life.
I know...that he has chosen not to heal her.
I know that God hears my cry to heal her.
I know that God still does heal.
I know that all things work together for good and for his glory.
Today I can rest assured that He has my precious child wrapped in the palm of his hand. He has watched over her for 7 years now. He isn't going to stop now.
Today I rejoice in the fact that.....this has happened that the works of God might be displayed.

View from
Happy friday y'all! This is the beautiful view from my front window this morning.
We were hoping for a snow day today but no such luck. :( I guess its for the best though. Emma and I both have doctor appointments today. We also have family coming over for a bday party tonight. My baby sister is 21 this week. I still remember the day she was born!
