Easter 2012

Happy Easter!!

What a lovely day we had yesterday...

It started with the traditional....finding of the Easter baskets. I know it's silly, but every year I hide the kids Easter baskets. My mom did it for us, and now I do it for my kids.

The kids came running in early in the morning so they could find their baskets.

Maddie finally found her's.

Emma had fun playing with the eggs.

this is how Easter grass gets all over the house...... I THINK I got it all picked up last night. I think.....

Before I knew it, Nathan had given Emma a peep.

Thankfully, she wasn't interested.

I made banana walnut pancakes for breakfast.

A first.....

Emma got her toe nails painted.

I tried to get a nice picture of the kids for Easter, Nathan didn't exactly want any part of it.

So this is what I got.........

Emma got the sweetest gift. Even now I get teary eyed thinking about it.

Jeremy's sister Jennifer was killed in a car accident a year before I met Jeremy.  Before the died, she bought this Longaberger Easter basket. It's a special basket, and Grandma gave it to Emma yesterday for her Easter basket.

And the beautiful quilt that Emma is sitting on was made for her by her Great-Grandma Mamie.

What beautiful gifts.

Happy Easter to you all.
