As some of you have requested

I just have to say that I think I have the best hubby. You see, for some time now, our kids have been sharing a room. No big deal right?? Well it was for us only because Brother was sleeping in a pink and purple room. Not exactly his favorite colors.

We told them that we would paint their room. And well....we finally got around to it.

Hunny and I went to our local hardware store a couple of weekends ago and headed to the paint department to pick out paint.

You have NO idea how hard it is to pick paint colors for a boy and a girl.

I immediately found one that I liked. But Hunny said that it didn't look like a kid's room so we moved on to find something else. We finally decided on something and headed home to paint.

Finally after working on it all day, we looked at the results. We both weren't impressed. I think my exact words were...it just isn't what I thought it would look like.

Hunny didn't like to hear that, especially since he had worked so hard on it in the 1st place.

So I thought long and hard about what I really liked and wanted in their room. We decided to make a little switch in 1 of the colors.

So back to the hardware store.

While we were looking for the right color of green, I found the perfect color. And after I pulled it out, I realized it was the exact swatch that I had chosen in the 1st place. :)

So we bought our paint and headed home.

We knew right away that this is what we wanted. It looked just like what we wanted.

It's hard to tell, but the color on the bottom is a steel grey color.

Dada got a "new" bed. It was Hunny's when he was growing up and we just painted it white. I think it looks great.

And I have to say, that Hunny had so much patience with me. He worked so hard for us.

We painted Brother's dresser white and his drawer pulls silver. It looks like a whole new dresser.

He did MOST of the work. And I think he did a great job.

Great Grandma gave Dada a night stand, which we painted red. Now her dolls have a real place and aren't just thrown anywhere! ( This makes Mommy very happy!!!)

( Brother spent the night at Grandma's tonight....that's why he isn't in the pictures.)

I still have to get a couple things. I am looking for just the right curtains and comforters. And we are going to put pictures of the kids with their friends in the square frames on the walls.

Update......while posting this....hubby was in their room rearranging it already!! And it looks way better!! I will take pictures of it when I get the curtains.
