The Faith to say - It is Well.

I have been wanting to get this post up for a week now, but am just now having the time or the Internet availability to do it.

Last week, we had the biggest blessing. I am still amazed at the way the Lord works. I don't know why I should be. If my God can part the red sea, or multiply fish and bread or turn water into wine, why shouldn't he be able to meet our  every need right down to the littlest detail??

Heather called me and said that she had something to bring over to us. Someone had dropped something off at her house and she needed to bring it over.

What in the world?? Who would drop something off at her house? And what in the world could it be??

You know the saying curiosity killed the cat?? Well it's very true!! I was dying to know what it was.

Heather said that she would drop it off later that afternoon.

LATER THAT AFTERNOON?!?!? You mean I have to wait all afternoon to see what this is?   Is what I was thinking, but I just said ok, I will see you later.

Curiosity was very much eating away from me!!

Heather texted me and wondered if she could drop it off before lunch instead of later in the afternoon, I told her that would be just fine. :)

She soon came carrying 2 huge boxes.

What in the world?? What was in the 2 huge boxes you ask????

Well the 1st one we opened was a brand new DVD player! Can you believe it?? Someone went out and bought us a new dvd player.

Let me preface what was in the 2nd box by saying this........... I have had a grocery list on my fridge. Whenever we needed something, I would just write it down and wait for the day that we could go to the store and get it. The list was getting longer and longer!!

I opened the 2nd box, and inside was just about everything that was on my list. It wasn't just shampoo and conditioner, or lotion, or body soap......... it was the type and brand that we use.

I truly believe that someone went out at the Lords leading and purchased these things for us.
I wasn't just overwhelmed that they went out and did this. I was overwhelmed with the way the Lord leads and directs in peoples lives.

(Sorry, the picture is crooked, I can't figure out how to rotate it on this computer!!)

I don't know if I am making a lick of sense here, but I tell you. I serve an amazing God.

In church, our Pastor has been talking about trials and how we should respond when they come. Because, they WILL come. The title of yesterday's sermon was The Faith to say, it is Well.

We have had many things happen to us in the past year. Through them all, I can honestly look back and see the hand of God working in each and EVERY thing. I can sit here and say to you that IT IS WELL.  I still get nervous driving, especially when I have kids in the car. And I am still nervous in the night when I hear noises and aren't quite sure what they are. But I know that it is well.

The bible also gives me promises.

Psalm 3:5~ I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.

Psalm 4: 8~ I will both lay me down in peace and sleep: for thou Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.

It w as a joy to share these verses with the kids. It is amazing to see them depending on Christ also in time of fear.

Brother especially likes to think of God putting up the hedge of protection around house. Our family now calls it the bush of love. I liked that when Dada called it that. B/c that's what it is.
If there is 1 thing that I know, it's that I can trust the promises of God.

Do you have faith enough to say It is Well in the midst of the trials going on in your life??

What a blessing to you, Julie! And I must say, you are a blessing to many other people, too - myself included!
