A new housemate

Well I know that it has been a while since I have written, but honestly there has not been much going on. I mean really how many times can I make.....hey, I did laundry, and dishes, and vacuuming sound interesting??? Exactly my point.

But now I do have some news. There is a girl at our school that is going to be graduating this year and her parents had to move. She really wanted to finish her senior year at school. So we offered to let her stay at our house. She will be here on Friday. I am actually looking forward to it. I know what it is like to have to switch schools my senior year and it really stinks! I wanted to offer her our house at the end of last year, but I didn't want to speak out of turn. The Lord kept impressing on my heart to let her stay and so finally I offered. Now I have some cleaning to do!!

Other then that, not much else is going on. DS is now in a big boy bed. We finally got him a twin size bed. He of course fell out of it the 1st night, but I moved it against the wall, and last night he slept much better.

Our anniversary

Well, today is our anniversary. I tried to get a good picture of both of us, but couldn't find one. So you get one of just him. Anyway, we have been married 9 years today. They have been good years. It is hard for me to put my feelings into words. But Honey, I just want you to know that you are the love of my live.

A bowling day

We went bowling the other weekend and here are some pictures of our time.

My girls 6th birthday

So DD celebrated her 6th birthday this past weekend. DH and I took her into Chicago to the American Girl Store and we got her a doll. She was sooooo excited! It only took us 4 hours to get there. Only to spend 20 min in the store and then 4 hours home ( there was a huge subway detour). But it was totally worth it to see how happy she is!! Then on Sunday, we had a little party for her. Here are some pictures of her big weekend.

An intersting night

So last night, we went to bed about 10:30. It took me a while to actually fall asleep, but finally sleep came to me. I had just really fallen asleep, and I am woken up to the sound of Jeremy flying out of bed. I sat up trying to make sense out of what was happening. Jeremy is looking around, and he was saying that he is hearing water. Next thing I hear, is Jeremy telling Nathan this............he says, son what are you doing?? Do you know that isn't a toilet? Now I may not be the smartest kid in the class, but I can put 2 and 2 together. I know that when I hear water, and my husband telling my kid that isn't a toilet, that he is peeing on the floor. Yes, that's what I said. I then here Jeremy saying go off to bed son. Now, if anyone knows me, they know that messes like this and me don't really go together, especially at 11:30 at night, when I am woken up from a sound sleep. I am sort of what you call grouchy. So I am fighting to try and stay that loving, patient, kind, mother that I only dream to be. And while I am fighting this, Jeremy is walking to the bathroom, getting a towel, and he is wiping up the mess. I tell you, I do love that man. He cleaned up the mess, all the while telling me that it was okay, he didn't know what he was doing, he was sleeping after all. Which that is when the thought hit me.....sleeping? He is peeing in his sleep?????? If he is sleep peeing, where else in our house has he peed and we not known it???? Which really grosses me out. So after I got the mop and bucket, and helped Jeremy clean up the mess, we look at each other and just shake our heads. We can't help but laugh at the situation.

Well, I am sitting down to write something, anything on this blog, just so people know I am still alive. And nothing will come to me. So I will fill you in on meaningless nothing.

I hate my hair. I have hated it for a while now. I think I am letting it grow, and hating it in the meantime. I wonder when I will be happy with it again. I was trying to think back on the last time I actually liked it. It's been a while. I think that the issue that I have with it, is that it isn't me anymore. I used to have short hair, and that fit me so well a couple of years ago. But now, I don't feel like I am that person anymore. I feel like I need a more mature hairstyle. But I can't really do anything with my hair since it's only 2 inches long. I would love long, flowing, beautiful hair. I doubt that will ever happen.

I think that my kids are ready for school to start up again. They are acting like they are bored out of their minds. I am having a hard time thinking of things that all of us want to do.

DS is going through a time right now where he doesn't want to really listen to me. He thinks that he can do what he wants to do when he wants to do it, regardless of the consequences. Needless to say, he has gotten a lot of spankings lately.

In the next month, I am looking at planning 2 b-day parties. I have no idea what I am going to do. I am thinking that I will have DD 's party here at the house. I am going to have 1 party, and she can invite her friends and family all at the same time. DS will be turning 5 and I think I am going to have a "bigger" party for him. DD had a tea party last year, and although I don't think DS will want a tea party, I do think that he would like something big. I have thought about a bowling party, or something along those lines. I think that he would enjoy that.

Next month is also our anniversary. 9 years. I really want to do something special. We have never really celebrated our anniversary b/c the kids b-days are always right there, and money is always tight. But I would love it if he would just plan something and get a sitter, and surprise me with a great time.

For not having much to say, I sure have come up with a lot. We are off to go swimming. I am waiting for my little sister to come over with her friend and then we are off. I am looking forward to a day at the pool. The kids love being there, and it is always a relaxing time for everyone.
